"Building Resilience and Planning for an Uncertain Future: A Workshop for Local Leaders and Small Water Systems"

Now more than ever, water utilities must learn to be resilient in the face of an uncertain future. We will discuss potential extreme weather and climate disruptions in your region, and give you tools to identify risks, assess vulnerabilities, and plan for impacts.
 
You will also hear from local funders who can help turn your plans into action. 

Finally, participants will put their new knowledge to the test in the Game of Floods. The Game of Floods is an interactive simulation where attendees will work together to asses vulnerabilities, prioritize assets, and plan for and implement action strategies in order to mitigate climate risks at Resilience Harbor. 

Who Should Attend:
• Managers, owners, and operators of small water systems serving less than 10,000 people, including local government systems and tribal systems, as well as all other types of water systems, such as: homeowners associations, mobile home parks, resorts/campgrounds, schools, prisons, and more
• Decision-makers for water utilities, including mayors, finance officers, utility managers, public works directors, city councilors, board members, tribal council members, and clerks
• Consultants and technical assistance providers serving water systems
