The Watershed Management Committee, the New England Water Works Association and the New England Chapter of the American Public Works Association in conjunction with New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission will hold a joint specialty conference & exhibit on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the University of Massachusetts Lowell campus.  The conference, "Creating Resilient Infrastructure & Watersheds: Strategies for Planning, Implementation & Funding", will focus on climate change impacts and resiliency strategies for flood prone inland areas and coastal zones, stormwater and other infrastructure and watersheds.

This conference will be of interest to municipalities, utilities, watershed associations, state agencies and others that are responsible for transportation, water, sewer, stormwater and other infrastructure. Attendees will learn about climate resiliency planning, implementation and funding of private, municipal and state projects. Presentations and a panel discussion will review lessons learned during past extreme weather events and look forward toward planning and design solutions that will help make our communities and infrastructure more resilient to climate change.
