Jonnas Jacques, PE – Project Engineer, Kleinfelder
“Using Drones for Pipeline Inspections in Boston, MA”

Description: This presentation will discuss the two-part inspection effort that reimagined the use of drone technology to investigate illicit connections within the BWSC’s Fort Point Channel CSO 070 outfall drainage system. Inspections of two 20-feet wide by 15.5- feet tall twin-barrel conduits were included as part of the Fort Point Channel IDDE work. This presentation will review the objectives, costs, and findings of the two inspections performed and provide recommendations for similar pipeline inspection considerations.

Andrew Reid – Technical Sales Manager, New England Environmental Equipment
“Mixing, Metering and More – Successful Case Studies from New England”

Andrew will be presenting on case studies of recent water storage tanks projects and the benefits on water quality with mixing system technologies designed with local engineering firms and municipalities. Additionally, he will present on a local town’s flow metering project using non-contact flow meter technologies and telemetry to deliver real time data for accurate billing between neighboring towns.

Jackie Tupper – Project Engineer, Environmental Partners
“Groundbreaking to Startup in 18 Months: Eastham’s New $45 Million Water System”

Description: For thirty years, Eastham officials gathered evidence of progressively declining groundwater quality throughout the private well system. Nitrates, industrial solvents, and emerging contaminants emanating from septic systems and the Town’s closed landfill posed immediate and long-term threats to public health and the economic vitality of the Town. EP has guided the Town through design, construction and implementation. This presentation will focus on the startup, regulations, and the water system application process utilizing GIS.
