This course will help you prepare for the Grade T2 exam. The T2 exam will allow entry into the field as a treatment plant operator of a more complex water treatment facility. Topics include: basic math, basic chemistry, disinfection, ion exchange, fluoridation, laboratory tests, aeration, taste and odor control, iron and manganese removal, regulations, operation and maintenance of pumps and motors, coagulation, flocculation, clarification, filtration, softening, stabilization and carbon absorption.
The texts were specifically selected for these review courses. They have been tailored to meet the needs of the student and are focused to address the new examination and operator certification grade structure. Treatment courses will use "Water Treatment Plant Operation Vol. 1, 6th ed." (CA State University, Sacramento), "Water Treatment Plant Operation Vol. 2, 5th ed." (CA State University, Sacramento), "Operator Certification Study Guide" (ABC/AWWA). |
