The Town of Framingham seeks qualified candidates for the position of Operations Manager of the Water Division for the Department of Public Works. The Town of Framingham is an MWRA community that provides water and wastewater service to 17,500 residential and commercial customers. The position is responsible for the professional management of the water system distribution programs pertaining to the construction, maintenance and operation of the town’s water system. The position is tasked with the supervision of up to 20 division employees engaged in system maintenance and operation, and the effective coordination of relations with the MWRA as well as other federal, state and local regulatory agencies having jurisdictional authority. |

| Job Description : |
The Operations Manager coordinates work activities with other Town divisions and departments as well as contractors, consultants and the general public. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to delegation and assignment of work orders in accordance with the schedule of programs utilizing and estimating all available resources.
The qualified candidate shall be able to equitably and fairly instruct, supervise, coach and when necessary discipline subordinate employees to maximize the efficiency of each work unit.
Qualified candidates must possess a Grade 4 Drinking Water Operators License Issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Division of Registration. Qualified applicants must also have ten years exp working within water and/or wastewater systems which required supervisory and budget responsibilities. The qualified applicant must also possess a license to operate a motor vehicle as provided under Chapter 90, Section 8 of the MGL. The salary range is $64,165 - $77,310 plus benefits depending on level of experience.
