NEWWA Annual Conference

NEWWA's 2020 Annual Conference will be presented in a HYBRID format - meaning that those who would like to attend in person will still have the opportunity (we are currently working very closely with the Mt. Washington on ensuring proper social distancing and sanitation protocols) and those who are not able to attend or who are not comfortable attending an in-person event will have a VIRTUAL, online option to attend the opening general session, all technical sessions (for TCH credit), panel discussion, virtual exhibit hall, and pre-recorded awards presentation.

This decision was made in response to the member survey that was conducted to determine the comfort level as well as desire by members to hold an in-person event, to which more than 60 percent indicated the preference to hold this meeting in person. As a result, we made the decision to honor the majority, while also responding to the needs of those who will not be able to travel this year. We are confident that we will provide a safe, enriching, and fun environment for our in-person attendees as well as a worthwhile and robust program for those joining us online. We will keep you posted on registration options, the program, etc., as more details become available and we thank you for your continued support during this unprecedented time!

About NEWWA's Annual Conference

More than 370 water works professionals attended NEWWA's 2019 Annual Conference for educational and networking opportunities. The 2019 program (see link above to view) included technical session tracks over 2 days on topics including water treatment, management, sustainability, water resources, water quality, distribution, and groundwater. TCH credit will be available to all attendees.

Plenty of networking opportunities are also available--from multiple receptions, to panel discussions, to the membership recognition celebration. The annual Water For People silent auction is also returning, as well as the ever-popular "Aging Infrastructure" contest and "New England's Best" Drinking Water Taste Test.  A variety of guest and social programs are also on tap for the week, including Wednesday's golf tournament.
